Flexible Ground School Options

Our ground school is flexible and can be performed online or in person. While we find the best results come when student and instructor are face-to-face in the classroom, we accommodate all learning styles. We recommend Gold Seal or Flight Insight for online self-study, though even students who complete these programs will have ground classes with their instructor to ensure knowledge retention and strengthen weaker areas.

Real-World Flight Training

Our flight lessons are tailored to your schedule and progress. We pride ourselves on our realistic approach, giving students experiences other flight schools can't or won't provide: night landings into Class Bravo airspace, grass strip airports, and flights dealing with rain, crosswinds, and other challenging conditions. This is all part of our commitment to get you ready to fly for real.

There is no 'right' way to learn, as long as you're absorbing and retaining information!

Tips for Pilot Training

Success in flight training comes down to consistency, preparation, and the right mindset. Here are our proven strategies for getting the most out of your training.

Stay Consistent

Regular lessons help you retain skills and knowledge. Aim to fly at least once a week or more if available.

💡 Most successful students average 2-3 lessons per week

Be Prepared

Study ground school materials, practice with a flight simulator if available, and arrive with questions prepared.

📚 For every 1 hour in the plane, spend 3 in the books

Set Goals

Establish short-term and long-term goals for your flying, like planning a solo trip to a nearby destination.

🎯 Don't forget why you started flying in the first place

Plan Accordingly

Flight training is expensive, so make sure to have your finances in order to avoid unnecessary delays.

💰 Consistent training often costs less long-term than extended breaks

Enjoy the Journey

Flying is fun! Celebrate milestones like your first solo flight and use setbacks as opportunities to grow.

✨ “Oftentimes, failure is the best teacher.”
