Requirements

Prerequisites for commercial pilot training

Age Requirement

18+ years old minimum

Medical Certificate

2nd Class FAA Medical Certificate

Flight Experience

250 total flight hours minimum

Written Exam

Pass Commercial Knowledge Test (70% minimum)

Additional Prerequisites

Private Pilot License (prerequisite)
10 hours instrument time (IR Rating highly recommended)
100 hours pilot-in-command time
50 hours cross-country flight time with multiple long cross countries
10 hours complex aircraft or TAA time
5 hours VFR Night with 10 Takeoffs and Landings at a towered field

Commercial training outside of "time building" averages approximately 30 Hours of Dual Instruction with a minimum of 20 being required per regulations and can be completed in as little as 90 days depending on scheduling. These hours also count towards the 250 hour total time requirement for commercial Pilot

At Dependable Aviation we know life happens, you or your money should never be tied down to your flight training, as such we follow a simple Pay-As-You-Go Structure.

Our intuitive software allows clients to deposit training funds ahead of time or they can opt to be billed on a per flight basis. Any funds deposited onto your account are yours and yours alone, they will not be spent or dispersed unless it is for YOUR training
